FAIT Fellows become the technology talent the Foreign Service needs to strengthen our diplomatic efforts around the world.
After completing an academic degree, the FAIT Fellowship program, and the State Department’s requirements, FAIT fellows receive appointments to become Information Management Specialists and embark on an exciting career working abroad and supporting U.S. diplomacy through technology.
“This is an unparalleled opportunity to represent the United States of America. It’s a very wide scope that the Department of State does, and this gives our IMSs opportunities to do a lot of things that they would never have if they were not working in an embassy overseas. The diversity of things that that they could do is incredible so I would really encourage others to consider this program because this is one of the greatest opportunities that we can give young folks these days. It is a wonderful job.”
