Collabs

Collabs is one of the newest Instagram features! Collabs allow you to co-post content that appears on both of your profiles. Collabs are great for boosting brand awareness, partnering with influencers and engaging with your community.

Top Three Tips:

  1. Partner with Influencers
  2. Consider both brands
  3. Amplify other voices

When To Use This Feature:

  • Polished or Branded Content
  • Lasting Information, Big Announcement
  • Boost Brand Awareness/Expand Audience
  • Partner with Influencers (Students, Alumni, Partners, Providers, Student Organizations, Local Businesses, Etc.)

Examples & Data:

  • TWC & Emerson Collab: This collab received 393 likes. In 2022 TWC averaged 30.5 likes per post.
  • IDP India has some very popular influencer connections thanks to their extensive network of counselors and commitment to their students. To advertise a Study in Canada fair, they collaborated with Bollywood star Prince Narula for a video that received 28,957 likes and social media influencer Nitish Rajput for a video that received 22,133 likes. Given the massive following that these two accounts have, you can see that a much wider audience is available to you when you partner with influencers at all levels. Note also that these are both in a local language, so it is inviting to students (or parents) whose English proficiency levels may vary.
