Top Tips For Creating Collaborative Content
You don’t have to create content all on your own! We don’t expect you to be an expert marketer, but many of our students and our partners’ marketing offices certainly are. They have great insight into what works well on campus so leverage their tools and knowledge to help improve your feed! Trust us, some of the most engaging Instagram content comes from collaborating with influencers such as students, alumni, providers or other partners.
It’s funny to think of our students or partners as influencers, but they are! By sharing their stories, or collaborating with them, you can take advantage of their existing audiences. Work with influencers in the community that your students already trust – student organizations, individual students, providers, other offices on campus and even local businesses or community organizations. Think about their access, their followers, who their posts will reach.
Collaborating with Students & Alumni:
- Host a challenge: We aren’t all expert marketers, but our students are....and they love a challenge! Host a challenge for students to create content that will be shared across your page.
- Share user generated or crowdsourced content: When a student posts and tags your office, share their content on your story. It will show that you care for your students as well as give a glimpse into their experience outside of your curated content.

- Toolkits & customized content: See if your provider partner has any social media toolkits you can leverage or, if you have content in mind, ask if their marketing departments can collaborate with you to make it a reality!
